Libertine Fleur d’Absinthe (FR)
Alcohol: 60%
Thujone: 25mg
The Absinthe Libertine Fleur d’Absinthe is a very special absinthe from France from the Devoille distillery. Especially because a sprig of wormwood in the bottle gives off its effect and changes the taste and effect. The ingredients for this Absinthe Fleur d`Absinthe are purely natural. The color of this absinthe turns brownish and is therefore not 100% traditional, but thank God it is natural. Recently, an innovation in French law allowed more fennel to be used in absinthe. That is why the Devoille distillery used more fennel in this absinthe Fleur d’Absinthe than in any other absinthe from this distillery. Despite the sprig of wormwood in the bottle, this absinthe is not bitter, but develops a fresh and well-rounded drinking experience when enjoyed. Like almost every absinthe from Devoille, the individual distillates are mixed together and then we should have the best result. The absinthe Fleur d’Absinthe is said to be the first absinthe with a sprig of wormwood in the bottle from France.

In the well deep on his throne,
Can be seen through the water,
The one frog that everyone is already
calling The Lord of the Frogs!
This absinthe was distilled according to an original recipe from 1870 from the Val de Travers, the place of origin of absinthe. It was elaborately macerated by hand and then distilled. Then, in a second maceration process with a large number of different herbs, the very dense color and flavor intensity was created. It has a very complex aroma density, which is characterized by aniseed, fennel and wormwood notes. Its long finish reveals fruity notes of raisins and dark chocolate.
